Cherished Tails Senior Sanctuary
Marana, AZAt Cherished Tails Senior Sanctuary, our mission is to rescue dogs who are at risk of euthanasia in shelters, often due to their age, medical needs, behavioral challenges, or limited shelter space. From the beginning, we have remained committed to providing these vulnerable dogs with a safe and loving temporary refuge. We give each dog the time, care, and support they need while working toward finding them a forever home. But our commitment doesn’t end when adoption is no longer possible. We recognize that some dogs, through no fault of their own, face medical, behavioral, or age-related challenges that make them difficult or impossible to place. That’s why we created our Permanent Paws Program—a compassionate program designed to provide lifelong hospice and sanctuary care for dogs who are not adoptable. Through Permanent Paws, these deserving dogs receive a safe home, medical care, comfort, and, most importantly, unconditional love. Because every dog deserves to know what it means to be safe, cherished, and loved—right through their final days.

Our No-Kill Philosophy means we never place a time limit on how long cats, dogs, and other pets stay at the Center. Companions is not a government agency and is not affiliated with any other animal organization. Companions is a privately funded, 501c3 nonprofit organization. Companions Animal Center relies on donations to support our adoption, animal rescue, and support programs. We are 100% funded by generous people like YOU! Thank you!

Phoenix, AZGood Omen Dog Rescue was founded on a simple belief: every dog deserves to know what it feels like to be safe, cared for, and loved. We are a foster-based rescue with a special place in our hearts for the dogs who are too often overlooked. We take in seniors, dogs with medical needs, and those who simply need someone willing to give them a chance. Many of the dogs who come to us have spent years without the medical care they needed. Others find themselves homeless late in life, scared and confused after losing the only family they have ever known. Some need extensive veterinary treatment and time to heal before they can begin their next chapter. And for a few, their time with us isn't about finding another home at all, it's about making sure their final chapter is filled with comfort, dignity, and love. We believe rescue isn't only about saving a life. It's about making that life matter. Through our dedicated foster families, veterinary partners, volunteers, adopters, and supporters, we are able to meet each dog exactly where they are. Whether that means surgery and rehabilitation, a warm foster home while they wait for their forever family, or a soft bed and loving arms for the time they have left, we make a commitment to every dog who becomes part of Good Omen. Our mission is to rescue senior, medical, and overlooked dogs and provide the care, comfort, and love they deserve at every stage of life.

Our staff and board work together to develop and implement three-year strategic plans that align with our mission. The strategic plan then guides our annual goals and objectives. Each adoption, donation, and other interaction with you and fellow animal lovers brings us closer to fulfilling our mission to save the lives of homeless, unwanted, sick, and injured animals and to work with our community to provide animal expertise and quality programs and services for people and animals.
